Beer Bread

This is where it all started. I made my first loaf of beer bread by simply using a can of Budweiser beer and I was pleased with the result.

It tasted great and had a beer aroma and taste. Most of the beer is cooked out of the bread so you can’t get drunk eating it. Sorry 🙂

From there I started experimenting with different brands and flavors of beer: Fruit flavored, Stouts, Darker beers, Lime beer, etc. All of them turned out great and I just kept experimenting by adding chocolate and berries and nuts to the different loaves.

Everyone that tried them liked them and I sold quite a lot of them to friends and co-workers. But I always thought they were a bit ‘heavy’, in both texture and taste. Not a bad thing but I kept looking for the next recipe.

That is when I came across a yogurt recipe. It is lighter tasting and has a moister texture than the beer bread so now I have 2 bread options for more customers!

My bread options just keep getting better.
