Yogurt bread

When I came across a bread recipe using yogurt, I was skeptical. How well would it turn out? What would it taste like, how difficult would it be to make, etc., etc.

Well my concerns were for naught. Baking with yogurt is really easy and the breads and muffins taste delicious. Moist, soft and fluffy, and much lighter than the beer bread (and the beer bread recipe doesn’t work so well for muffins).

Yogurt also works well with flavorings and add-ins. You can buy plain yogurt and add your own flavorings (which is how I like to do it) or you can buy flavored yogurt and use them. I find I have more flexibility by starting out with plain vanilla yogurt.

Yogurt dough is perfect for baking muffins too. They come out just like a loaf of bread: moist, soft, and fluffy, and are perfect for a single serving with a cup of coffee or tea, or with your breakfast.
